BARB’S PICKS By Barbara Goff

This is from our gal Kim and I thought that it might be of interest to a lot of the members.

Q. I have Microsoft Word. I want to create my own Christmas family newsletter. For this, do I need to purchase a greeting card program or is there a simple way to create a card using Word?

A. Good news! You can save your money. Microsoft Word allows you to do just about anything that a greeting card program can do.

You can do it the hard way. That is, open up a blank document, set margins, put in placeholders for art or family photos, and a bunch more steps.

But I bet you are like me. With so much going on, time is precious. Microsoft has free templates that you can download. Afterwards, open the template and all that's left for you to do is customize your works
by adding your own text and pictures. Below are some that I thought you would find helpful.

-- Christmas family newsletter    http://snurl.com/34lp

-- Christmas gift labels    http://snurl.com/34ls

-- Christmas return address labels    http://snurl.com/34lu

-- Secret Santa exchange list (works with MS Excel)    http://snurl.com/34lw
